Sometimes nature offers up a sight so spectacular it takes your breath away, and the phenomenon of thousands of starlings in flight ranks pretty highly on the spectacular scale!

London-based independent filmmakers Sophie Windsor and Liberty Smith were lucky enough to catch a ‘murmuration’ – the name given to a flock of starlings in flight – on camera during a trip on the River Shannon.
