WE'VE BEEN INSPIRED BY: Dancing Solar Flowers

Belgium-based artist Alexandre Dang has been spreading a little cheer, and raising awareness of the potential of solar energy, with his dancing solar flowers.

His installations use groups of up to 10,000 multicoloured ‘flowers’ that move when exposed to sunlight, harnessing the solar energy to create a dancing effect.

Dang’s dancing solar flowers have been bringing their cheerful message to many important buildings in Europe, including European Parliament buildings in Brussels, Luxembourg, and Strasbourg, and have also featured in numerous other exhibitions around the world.

Dang hopes his solar artworks ‘bring poetry to people’ while also highlighting the important message of promoting solar energy. What do you think? Tell us in the comments box below.
